Bartender finds License Server automatically, but cannot connect
We have a Seagull License Server running and then two clients using that server. The two clients are located right next to each other, connected via the same network switch. The one works perfectly, however, the other can find the license server but it says "Unknown: x" X being the hostname/ip.
I can't find any documentation on this "Unknown". Of course it won't print or anything, since it cannot properly connect to the licensing server.
Both server and the two clients are running Bartender 2016 R3; clients on Windows 10 and server on Windows Server 2016. Port is standard 5160. The setup on the clients are exactly the same and as mentioned they connect to it from the same place network wise. Also, both clients can ping the server. It even finds the server as mentioned.
Can anyone tell me what could be wrong ?
We have tried restarting the SLS service, restarting the server entirely.
This is the error that appears when we test the connection from the "Licensing setup" window. (other client returns with an OK, of course.

That sounds like there is a problem with that one PC connecting to the network and so you probably need to look at your network settings to rectify this

Hi Peter!
Thanks for reply. I honestly believe it's not. As mentioned it can ping the server. The port isn't blocked anywhere or anything like that.
Even Bartender itself finds the SLS instantly when ticking the "Automatically find server".
It just prefixes it with a "Unknown". Please see the new screenshot I have attached.

If you untick the automatically find and type in the 10.45.16.17 in the server box and press test what happens then?

If we untick it just cannot find it. Same errors.
However, we just fixed the problem.
In the config file BTLM.ini the RSVP UDP Service Provider is excluded. When we commented uot the line, making it available, it worked.
Thanks for the assistance.
