BarTender Integration Service - No connection could be made because the target actively refused it

Hello,

I am currently assisting with updating an install of BarTender 2019 to 2022. Everything was working prior to the update.

Under the Integrations > Deployments screen we see the following error:

The BarTender Integration Service must be running to deploy integrations. Please verify that the service is running and try again.
 
Details: One or more errors occurred. An error occurred while sending the request. Unable to connect to the remote server No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:5159
 
Under the Windows Services tab we can see that BarTender Integration Service is running with a green indicator next to it. I think that the service is running but for some reason it can't be connected to.
 
We have tried restarting the Integration Service, restarting the app, closing the app and opening it again with Run as Administrator, and restarting the computer. We also checked under Windows Firewall and verified that a rule exists to enable access to port 5159. 
 
At this point we are not sure what else to try. Has anyone experienced this issue and know of a fix?

    It seems that this problem can be resolved by installing the .Net Web Hosting bundle. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/5.0

    Didn't correct it for me.

     

    UPDATE: My issue was due to computer policies and software running on that PC preventing *unauthorized* services to start.

    I have been having the same problem for a few months now, support has not yet given me a solution despite several reports. Have you solved it this way?

    Sorry, I wish I could be of more help. Our problems were fixed when we installed the Web Hosting bundle linked above.

    We are having the same problem, after updating from BT2019 to BT202.
    Greg Woods Did you install the .NET Hosting Bundle on the client or server?
