hi Bartender / Seagull Community, 

We are in process of removing local SQL instances or rolling them over to our enterprise instance. 

What I am trying to ascertain is whether or not a local SQL instance is required on the Bartender server to operate ?

I see there is one currently but is that just part of normal install and not really required?

Our current version of Barteder is 2016 , R8. Long story short, we are posting text files on that server to be processed from our database. 

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
