Layers S’abonner
As this is the place to put any features we would like to see i will start this thread with a feature i would realy like.
It would be verry nice if we could design labels in Layers.
I now have 1 shipping label layout, that contains 1 zone where i put customer specific information. In this zone i have currently 19 different specific layouts defined. However as they all are in the same zone it is hard to change something on request for a specific customer.
I always need to walk trough each field, check what rules are behind the field, to know if this a field involved for that specific customer.
When we would have layers, we could design a layer for each customer and when ever something needs to be modified we could easely open the requested layer without having to struggle over all fields defined on the label.
If this would ever be possible that would make mine, and possibly other peoples lives a lot easier.
regards
Dimitri

Please keep the suggestions coming, we're always listening.
I'm pleased to announce that we've just released BarTender v10.1 which includes a number of new features with comprehensive support for design layers being one of them. Download the Trial from the below link:
http://www.bartender...e-download.aspx
A white paper detailing the changes will be forthcoming shortly.
I wonder if there's a training or a guide that could help me on create different labels in each layer, and then create a data base or something, so the costumer can select which label he want's to print, based on a catalog number and a label type....
Any help will be great !!
It sounds like you're better off using the multiple Templates feature under a template selector. You'll find this in the Page Setup dialog under the "Templates" tab. Layers are better suited for controlling label fragments, and/or decluttering a complex label design.
