Seagull Tsc Drivers
Installing a TT027-50 (equiv. TTP-247) driver under Windows 7 occasionally causes peculiarities. While logged on to a client after his Plug-and-Play failed to respond, I used the Seagull wizard (downloaded in case the CD supplied with the printer was out of date) and the driver disappeared into 'Unknown/Unspecified' device with no supporting files. Clicking 'Update Driver' failed to complete the process. Subsequent attempts placed the driver in the 'Printers' folder where it was visible to Windows but not to the labelling software, another copy was visible to the labelling software but not Windows, and on further occasion the driver embedded itself in the properties of an unrelated office printer! With the driver popping up everywhere, at one point I half expected to find it stuck to the ceiling. Removing unwanted copies of the driver proved difficult too.
Anyone else having these problems? Anyone have the answer?

I suggest that you do the following.
1. Download the latest (currently v7.3.1) Seagull printer driver from the Seagull website.
2. Run the Seagull DriverWizard to fully remove any previous installation attempted, thus giving us a clean slate.
3. Reboot Windows.
4. Plug in the printer and power it up.
5. Windows will detect the new hardware and start the plug n play wizard. Cancel this wizard.
6. Run the Seagull DriverWizard application which you will find in the folder where you extracted the Seagull driver installation files to.
7. Choose to install a driver, the wizard should then ask if you wish to install a driver for the currently detected printer. Select to do so and complete the wizard for final driver installation.
Follow the above steps and you should be good to go.0 -
