Not Able To See A Printer In The Sls Page S’abonner

I just installed a printer in the our server as I installed previous 87 Printers. We have a license for 100 printers. but this one, I am not able to see it in the SLS page. I removed it and added it again under the same IP address but still in vain. what am I missing?

Remember that installing a printer doesn't add it to the License Server list, only printing to it from BarTender does. So if you'd like the printer to actually show up on the License Server list, just print to it from BarTender and it'll appear.

thanks mike for your quick response,

yes I did print to it a test page from bartender, but still the same. I thought it has something to do with reaching the limits of what I can see in the SLS page. but it's not. I installed deferent printer with different IP address, I was able to see it. i'm out of Ideas. any suggestions will be helpful.

When you enable text file logging in BarTender and Seagull License Server (via the "Administer > Log Setup > Text File Log" dialog), when you print to this printer, does at least Seagull License Server log some activity with regards to the print request?

 

Are you printing from BarTender directly on the server where the printer driver has been locally installed? Or are you printing from a client PC which actually makes use of the printer as a network printer?

 

Is this printer perhaps pointing to some special port, not of the type "Standard TCP/IP port"?
