Hi Tom,
First, make sure that your Datamax printer is installed on the computer with BarTender. When you open your label format, go to File|Print and change it to the Datamax printer. Click Close (this will not print your labels, but simply set it up to print to the Datamax printer). You'll get a warning message, click 'Automatically Adjust Page Setup'.
If you go into the Page Setup dialog (File|Page Setup), you'll need to make some changes to account for the new printer. You'll need to change the size of the paper you're using on the 'Paper' tab. For Width, enter 3.5, for height, enter 1.25. The picture should match your stock. Other settings you may need to change are the margins and label size, found on the 'Layout' tab. Keep in the mind that the 'Paper Size' refers to the size of your labels plus the backing of the paper its on...the size of the label is exactly that. Once you close the Page Setup dialog, your label should be reconfigured for your new printer.
Hope this helps!
Jim
