Multiple Database Fields In One Object S’abonner

We used to create labels in Crystal Reports, and we're moving a handful of them over to BarTender. One feature that I sorely miss is the ability to put more than one field into a single text box in Crystal Reports. This was useful for fields that were constantly changing, like an address field. The state could appear right next to the city no matter what length the city name was. And if there was nothing for address line two, there wouldn't be a blank line there. It's just a way to concatenate fields in design.

Now I'm wondering if this is possible in BarTender. I haven't found anything like it so far in my searches. If it's not possible, is there another way to handle such scenarios as described above?

Yes, it is possible in BarTender.  When you are in the properties of the object (text or barcode) select the data source on the left, and you will see a toolbar at the bottom of the list.  This can be used to add additional data sources, each of which can be embedded text, database fields, clock, or anything else.  Take another look and if you don't see how to do it, please post the version of BarTender you are using because the precise instructions have changed over time.

Thansk Ian. Yes, I tried it and it seems to work properly.
