Document Properties Menu "changed" S’abonner

Hello,

Recently I had a printer fail in our factory (Zebra ZT230 with Seagull drivers), we have an identical printer as a backup for a quick direct replacement. I brought the printer back to my office and connected it to my workstation, opened bartender and the label file they were using in the factory. When I went to check the document properties, the menu had completely changed. Generally when I click that tab, it gives me options to adjust print speed, darkness, direct transfer vs thermal transfer, etc. So I am curious if anyone has experience with issues such as this.

I have attached a screenshot of the new menu that appears under Print>Document Properties.

Thanks in advance for any input,

-Miguel

It means you're using a different printer driver. Most likely Windows installed the "ZDesigner" driver by default. You will want to install the Seagull driver from http://www.seagullscientific.com/drivers/zebra-windows-printer-drivers.aspx

Edit: If it's the same computer, you don't have to re-download it. Just change the driver from inside your Windows devices and printers, Advanced tab.

Under devices and printers > printer properties > about. It shows seagull drivers, that was the first thing I checked, because I've had endless problems with the drivers in the past. as a precaution I even re-loaded the seagull drivers. Restarted the computer multiple times as well as reloading BT and the label. Still the same menu. not to mention, even with the ZDesigner drivers, which I actually had pretty good luck with initially, the menu was the same as it used to be with my seagull drivers, this is the first time I have ever seen this menu.

I have 4 other Zebra printers and all of them share the same menu, regardless of drivers, until now.

any other ideas?

Triple checked I am using the most recent Seagull Drivers available on the website 7.3.7. Confirmed.

Your first post did not include an attachment like you mentioned. That may help. As well as maybe a screenshot of your devices and printers screen?

Apologies, seems there was an error with the first attachment.

Here are the screen shots.

Thanks for your time,

Did you try selecting the "Stock" and "Options" tab of the driver properties, as this is where the print settings you want reside.

That's the correct menu for the Seagull drivers. Maybe you were not using those before.

Ian is right, all the settings for darkness and stock are in the other tabs.

That's very strange. I have had these same drivers for at least a month if not longer and the menu has never looked like this. All of my other workstations, including the one running an identical ZT230 still has the "old" menu. I guess it just randomly decided to catch up. Apologies for wasting your time.

Thanks,
