White Square Under Database Fields S’abonner

Hello guys,

I'm new to bartender. After some hours trying to fit my labels to the ribbon I bought I finally could print some labels.

Everything was finally going well when I encountered this issue I'm reporting that I couldn't troubleshoot by myself. As you can see in the attached picture, when I get data from an Excel database, a white square appears under the object. The weirdest part of this is that the square only appears for the right label.

The 2 bottom labels are printed without the database object. You can see how there is no white square. The top labels are printed connecting to the 1st item database item. I tried reloading the database, copying everything to a new excel spreadsheet and nothing seems to fix this.

I hope you can help me.

Thank you very much,

José

Hello Jcarvallo,

Could you please attach your BarTender document and a sample of your database so we can take a look at them?

Also, could you let us know what exact printer brand and model are you working with?

Regards.

Hello Fernando, thank you for your prompt answer. I couldn't upload the documents you required.

I uploaded them to my website so you can download the required documents:

I'm using a Zebra TLP 2844 with Seagull drivers.

Thank you very much,

When you go to print, you should have a tab on the print dialog called "Performance"

Click into this tab, and uncheck the three boxes in the middle called:

Allow Static Objects
Allow Serialization

Allow Variable Data Optimization

See if after unchecking these if the print behavior changes at all.

nRyder, thank you very much for your useful answer. Unchecking "Allow Static Objetcs" solved it.

Any explanations for this?

Now I'm correctly printing labels. Everything works ok. I only have one last question. This is now urgent but as you can see, I had to rotate my objects to use the label space as I wanted. Is there any way to rotate de page instead? This way I can edit my contents directly instead of rotating them each time.

I hope I could explain myself correctly.

Again, thank you very much,

José A.

The "performance" tab controls various printer optimizations that I do not understand. However, it has been my experience that whenever something otherwise unexplained is happening with the printer, it is worth a try to turn these things off. It seems to use the printer memory differently and be less likely to mess up.

As for your rotation issue, printing orientation can be controlled both in your printer driver and in the "Page Setup" section of your BarTender document. You can also simply rotate your view by holding the CTRL key and pressing the left or right brackets ( "[" or "]" )
