Reprinting Failing With Remote Database Setup
I am working with a full demo of Enterprise Automation 10.0. I've been using a local system database for print job logging, with Reprint Console capturing the jobs and reprinting with no problem. However, I just switched the database to an an existing SQL server on a remote networked server location. System Database Setup wizard logged on fine, Reprint Console connected fine, and is capturing jobs - but now it can't print them. I'm getting the error message below. It can't generate print previews either, same error. Any thoughts?
Error message:
--------------------------
BarTender System Service was unable to start BarTender.
Details:
Unable to start the requested number of print engines.; Inner Message: The BarTender engine could not be started. Possible reasons are:
1) BarTender is not properly installed.
2) BarTender is not properly registered on the computer (e.g bartend.exe /register).
3) There are too many process instances of BarTender running. Stop a few bartend.exe instances and try again. Also see SDK Engine.Start method documentation for information about how to allow more BarTender processes to run on your computer by increasing your "non-interactive" shared desktop heap.; Inner Message: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {B9425246-4131-11D2-BE48-004005A04EDF} failed due to the following error: 80070005.

Hi, TriciaH:
1)Can you check if your demo 10.0 is expired or not through Help-> About. In 9.?, trial version does not have Remote System Database functionality. You can use local system database for trial testing purpose. You will need to use Enterprise Automation for the remote system database for the edition choice. Will test 10.0 trial and update you.
2)Can you check if the user has right permission to the remote SQL server system database? You can use SQL server Management Studio Express to test it out.
Hope it helps.
