Elevation During Self-Healing
With the success of my last post, I decided to ask here again regarding a new issue I've run into.
The package current contains HKCU values to suppress the Trial prompt at first launch.
When self-healing for a new user, the application tries to elevate itself, for some reason.
Clicking "OK" to run as current user allows the repair to complete, but I'd like to remove that prompt altogether.
I tried removing the RunElevated pointers in the MSI, as well as disabling the "CHECK_ELEVATED" custom action.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Dave
EDIT: Solved this myself by disabling 2 CustomActions: REGISTER_BARTENDER and REGISTER_BATCHMAKER
