Activating New Versions Of Bartender S’abonner

I purchased version 10 of the Enterprise Automation Edition of Bartender.  I recently rebuilt my box and wanted to reinstall.  I downloaded the newest version of the web site, 10.1, and am unable to activate it.  When I enter the key, I get the following message

 

      Activation Wizard Message #1025

 

      The Product Key Code entereied is for a different software version.  Please enter a valid Product Key Code.

 

Is it not possible to upgrade?  even with point releases?

The BarTender release v10.1 represents a major version upgrade over v10.0 despite the "point release" as you put it.  The same was true between v9.10, v9.20, v9.30, and v9.40.  Indeed if you look at the release notes you'll see that this is not in fact a service release, as there are a lot of new features added.

One could argue about the merits/accuracy of our versioning system, but I think it is fair to say that paid for upgrades come with an expansion of new features as one would expect.

Unfortunately I have the same issue.

 

We bought our Bartender software less than a month ago and we didn't have the opportunity to get things started.

Today was the big day and we installed the package ("professional license") and all looked well.

 

That was untill I added a barcode and RFID code and tried to get to the 'properties' pop-up screen.

in the 10.0 version the pop-up will come, but than it freezes. An empty pop-up appears, without any properties shown. That means we basically cannot do any design with BarTender.

 

Tried the 10.1 version, as trial version, and now the pop-up will come and function as designed. we can now design our label and autoserialize the tag printing.

 

Please point me in the right direction as to how this software issue can be overcome.

When using BarTender v10.0 then make sure the latest service release is installed.  You can find it at the below link:

We released BarTender v10.1 on the 3rd July 2013.  If you purchased the license within 30 days before that date then you might be eligible for a free of change upgrade.  If so, I suggest you get in touch with our sales department at the office of the region relevant to you.
