Julian Date Update
We use the Julian date on printed labels which does not automatically change when the date changes, can the Julian date update automatically?

Make sure you are using the "Clock" data source type so that that value printed comes from the computers clock (or the printer's RTC if supported and enabled), which as you might expect is continually updated.
What version of BarTender are you using? What have you set up for the data source of this object?

I believe this is going to be caused by a known issue. Download and install the latest (SR3) service release:

Downloaded the SR3 service release & installed it on the PC but was asked for product key, when I entered the original product key told it was for another version, input new product key.

Ian linked you to the wrong file. He linked you to the latest Service Release for 10.1, when you should be looking for SR4 for BarTender 10.0 in which your product key should work.
Find that by scrolling to the bottom here: http://www.seagullscientific.com/label-software/fixes_100.aspx

Sorry Tony, unfortunately I gave you the wrong link. Uninstall BarTender, and then download and install the below service release instead:
http://www.seagullscientific.com/label-software/fixes_100.aspx
I gave you the v10.1 link instead of the v10.0 one.
