Uac And Security Problems

We are trying to use BarTender 10.1 on a Windows 7 x64 machine that is part of our HaasDoor.local domain.

 

The user is on the shop floor (account: shop). 

 

When we try to run Print Maestro, we are prompted for a userid/password. if we don't supply one, it will bring up a dialog box that the user may not be able to perform some actions.

 

I have tried creating a shortcut with "Run as administrator" but that did not help.  I don't believe I am allowed to disable the UAC control in our envornment.

 

So my questions are:

1. How do I get Print Maestro from to stop prompting me for a userid / password

2. What functionality is not enabled if the user is not an administrator?

 

We want the guy on the floor to be able to see local print jobs and be able to reprint them.

  Sounds like you have security center turned on.  Only local admins can enable/disable this and or set up permissions properly.
