White On Black Option - Need Help Adjusting Text S’abonner

I have a field on this label (that is attached to post) that is a db field and I'm using the white on black option. What I want to do next is have the text centered vertically within the black area of the field. Right now, the text is position in the corner and runs along the border of the field. I've played with several options and I can't seem to figure out how or if, to center that text. Can anyone help?

I then want the text that is in black and it's opposite field that is in white to both be aligned horizontally; preferably from the top of the label.

Using "Center Justification" doesn't work? This setting can be found on the toolbar or under the [i]General[/i] tab of your [i]Text Format[/i] option for your Text Object Properties.

No; when I use either of the Center, Justify, or Distribute options...it renders the black area with no text in it....as if the text is too big to fit and it leaves it off. But I know it's not; I've even made the line/paragraph width larger than it needs to be and still produces the same thing.

It also is only printing the white on black text if I select it as a single line. Setting it to a paragraph will not print the text; regardless of all the additional settings I can change.

What printer are you using/ are you using the latest Seagull drivers? A couple of things I can think of for why center justification may not be working...

* If you're using printer fonts, change them to TrueType (something like Arial).
* If you're using TrueType fonts already, you could try rendering text as graphics. Do this by going to the Print dialog, Object Print Method tab and change 'TrueType Text' to raster graphics.

If I think of any other ideas, I'll let you know :)

I'm using a TSC 346M printer. I was using printer fonts but did try changing it to Arial but got the same results; as I did by also setting to raster graphics. One thing I notice is that if I use print preview, Bartender is showing it just fine (along with if I attempt to make a black box and overlay white text on top of the box, or highlight white text in black)....but when it prints is always just a black box area. Wondering if it's a printer issue.

Yeah, it looks like it's an issue with the printer itself. I did a print to PDF and that field looks just fine and renders as you would expect it to when telling it to center. Any thought?

I spoke to support and it could very well be an issue with the printer; it doesn't appear to be something with Bartender.

Basically, when Box is drown as raster graphics and text is drown as truetype text, that would works.

- Make sure font substitution not happening. In Text property > Font > Advanced minitab, uncheck[Substitute Best Matching Printer font].
To disable truetype substitution in BarTender, print dialog > Performance tab, disable [Warn when Using TrueType Fonts].

- Change box drawing method.
In Print dialog > Object print method minitab, set Boxes to [Raster graphics].

- Try disable variable data optimization
In Print dialog > Performance tab, disable printer optimization like [allow static objects], [Allow variable data optimization] etc.

Hope that works.
