Data In The Page Template ? S’abonner

I am using BT 10.1 SR3.

I am trying to build a packing list.

I built a label template using data from a data source file and from a data form used during print.

Each label will be an element of my list.

I built a page template where I put header, footer and 6 "rows" of the label template in one page.

Because I will have multiple pages on this document (more than 6 elements on my packing list)

I need to track and link the papers with some informations (number of the page, total number of pages, and a package number entered manually during print)

When I put a field on the page template using "printing information" data source (ex. page number or document comment etc...)  it works perfectly,

but as soon as it's data from an other kind of source (a VBScript, a copy of a named data source or and manually entered data), it doesn't work.

How can I add some data (the manually entered package number) on every page of my document ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I found a work around...

I use a VBscript to write the data into a text file when the user enter it in the data form

and an other VBscript to read the text file when the page template is processed.

It's not ideal but it works.

Let me know if there is a better/cleaner solution.

Bumping this.

I'm using BT Professional 10.1

There's no option to link a data entry control to an object on the page template. When I create a control in the data entry tab and link it to a named data source located on the page template, the entered text doesn't print. Is there any way to make this work?
