Bartender On Xenapp 6.5 S’abonner
Hi,
I tried to install Bartender 9.3 SR2 on Citrix Server which has Server 2008 R2 and Xenapp 6.5.
But the problem is when I ran the program with the account applied the installation, it's OK; while when I ran it with another account, bartender.exe stays in process list for several seconds then disappears.
Bartender was silently installed using command: "%~dp0BT93_2725_Enu.exe" /s /v"/qb PKC=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX EDITION=A"

ModérateurIt could be the shortcut icon the other user is double clicking is mangled (a known issue). Try recreating the shortcut icon from the bartend.exe executable directly to see if that fixes the issue.

I have tried to run it directly from the installation, but nothing changed.
Bartender.exe stayed in process list for a while then disappeared automatically, no interface was shown during the peroid. Was there any method to generate a log?

BTW:
On another Win7 64bit PC, with same installation, it works with no problem.
Ran the shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\BarTender 9.3, still the same
- Check to see if BarTender has produced any dump files at the following Windows folder (hidden): "C:\ProgramData\Seagull\BarTender\Dump"
- Do you see any related entries in the Windows application / system event logs?
- Make sure that the restricted account in question has sufficient permissions over the following Windows folders and registry entries:
- "C:\ProgramData\Seagull\"
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Seagull"
And following registry keys:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Seagull Scientific
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Seagull Scientific
- Do you get this problem no matter which printer is set as the default Windows printer for this session?
- Check to see if BarTender has produced any dump files at the following Windows folder (hidden): "C:\ProgramData\Seagull\BarTender\Dump"
- Do you see any related entries in the Windows application / system event logs?

Dump files were generated when admin user ran it. Please get them from http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=797893731&uk=3005773207
In events log, there are 1000s of errors like:
Product: BarTender 9.3. The application tried to modify a protected Windows
registry key
\Software\Classes\CLSID\{0000002F-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\InprocServer32.
Giving full control permission to the folders and registry keys didn't help.
Only a Microsoft XPS Document Writer is installed/used by the account.
