Can the trigger file be the same as the data source?
Hi Everyone
I'm really struggling to get my head around this. I seem have tried every combination so clearly I'm missing something. I'm doing this all on a local pc using BT 2022 R7
Within Bartender Designer I have created a label and used a CSV file as my Database which is connected. I can print to my label printer using this just fine.
I have a Bartender Integration with a simple Print Document action. I have linked the document to the label and imported the settings.
Under file detection it scans a folder for the trigger file (this is the same file I used for the data source in Label Designer).
I test this by pressing play and it prints correctly.
But, I need to overwrite the CSV file every time a new label is required, so I use the Actions After Detection to move or rename the file. As soon as I do this it says "The file 'C:\BartenderLabel\ToPrint\PMSHELFTEST.TXT' could not be opened, read, or accessed. Verify that the path is correct, exists, and has the correct permissions."
This is all on the local PC not across a network, I've tried it with and without the network administrator credentials and it doesn't work.
According to the video I followed you can use the same file as the data source and the trigger, but clearly there is a conflict.
What am I missing? Do I need to use a database override?
It always prints what is in the data source, but I need to update this with my new CSV everytime. The new CSV is also the trigger to print whats in the data source.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to instruct the integration to use the Event Data, ie contents of the trigger file as the new database such as like this
When you click in the Variable box the Insert Variable icon will become available and you can select Event Data from there.
