Move licence to new server without internet connection
This article (https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/articles/230158587-Moving-Your-License-to-a-New-Computer?version=2019+and+later) describes how to move a licence from one server to another, but this only works if there is a licence already installed on the receiving server.
I need to move from one server to a brand new one, which does not have a licence yet, therefore I cannot do the required setup changes as described in the article.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
I know, I could do the deactivate-activate route through a web browser, which is tedious but possible. But we also have a large number of clients accessing this licence server and the "Move Licence" path would update those clients automatically, otherwise I have to connect to every single client remotely and re-point the licence server.

Is the new server on the network?
If so just install BarTender on to it and link it to the existing licence and then you will be able to use the Move to from the old server to the new one.

Ah, that was a bit too obvious for me. I did not expect to be able to use the licence I want to receive :-)
I can do that, just need to have the firewall changed to open port 5160 between them, then it should work.
They don't label you "BarTender Hero" for nothing! Cheers, Peter!

Peter Thane thanks for the tip, but in the end I had to do it as a deactivation/activation anyway, because our servers are shielded from the internet.
