Activation on new PC
We have a single user license and the PC it was activated on has died. How can I deactivate that copy so I can load the software on our replacement PC?

Issues related to BarTender Licensing and Activations such as these will need to go through our regular support channels. If you have a Maintenance & Support agreement active with us, then you can reach us via web-form, chat, or phone. If not, we still have some regular support channels available to you, such as the web-form.
In order to access support, go to our Get Support page and enter your Support Number (if you have it), this will automatically check your support status and provide you with links to your available lines of support. Also, please be sure to have your BarTender Support Number with you ready when you reach us as our technicians will have to check on your license and see what the status is from our side.

We have the Automation version 10 R4. The computer we had the license server running on crashed on us and were able to load the SLS onto a second machine for a temporary time then back onto the replacement machine once it was up and running. Then when that replacement machine died we tried to move the SLS to another computer (4th move). The software would not let us do that. Several years ago I was able to make a call to Bartender Tech Support and they were able to get the SLS active again for use. I just needed to confirm the new computer specs.
Two days ago our computer with the SLS was updated. We had swithced SLS server around a couple times again when the omputer needed other servicing in order to be able to ocntinue printing. That replacement computer died and an upgraded computer was installed and it is now giving us an error that the license needs to be activated again. This time Bartender Support says buy the license.

After posting this note. I went to the online help area and entered our Support Number and I received a replay by email that my SLS license was updated and I was able to get the systems up and running again.
