Can I connect 1 data source to multiple boxes and how?
Some products are cut thin, and I want the whole name and data across the label visible. Currently we go to 5 different text boxes and enter the same information.

Yes and No!
You can only link one Data Entry box to a single field on a label but you can then share that data across multiple fields on the label itself
There are two simple ways to achieve this, and for each add the initial field onto the label and link that to the Data Entry box.
- Use the Change Data Source Name button to give the field added above a name. Then for each other field use the same button to link to the field name you selected.
- Or for each other field make them Object Value fields and link to the Text Field Object name to select the initial field.
If you use option 1 then whatever you do to the base field will also effect the other fields linked to that name so if you suppressed say that last three letters for example than that suppression would apply across all of the linked text fields.
For option 2 that is not the case and so you can edit the subsequent strings as you like. This can be useful for dates where for example you need the dates to be displayed in different ways, such as below. The top field is the primary field and has been configured to be offset by 3 days, which has automatically applied this to the field below it but then the format of the date has been configured differently
