You need to login to the Customer Portal and redeem your code to be able to download the full Product Key Code in order to install and activate the software.
Unless something has changed in the latest version but, if you have been using a Trial version previously, you will need to make sure that is deactivated first before trying to activate a Starter version

I have a problem related to this. I activated a new license but did not deactivate the trial version beforehand. I deactivated it afterwards and now it shows in the console manager only the new license and activated, but when I start BarTender Design it wants to pull the trial license and shows this message: Notice #2401 BarTender cannot connect to the license server that contains the license (trial license number). How can I solve this issue?
