Any success? We are stuck with manually installing this through a cmd file

I can't speak to 2019 but I am trying to deploy 2016 R8 with the same exact issue via SCCM. It installs the first couple SQL components then hangs. When I run the command in an Admin CMD prompt (user context) this installs successfully.

As for detection Method I'm using the MSI code you can find it in the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

As per silent install - it works from command line but does work via deployment tool. I use bigifx and it does not work. Is there anyone from vendor side whom we can contact.

We cannot get the silent installation of BT2019_R7_152895_Full_x64.exe to work, there are 2 silent installation problems:

    1. A silent installation at the Command prompt with an Administrator account does not create a new BTLM.INI file with the specified parameters for the license service:
    Command: BT2019_R7_152895_Full_x64.exe FEATURE=BarTender INSTALLSQL=false BLS=MyBLSServer:5160

However, after installation, the license server is not automatically configured, we still have to go through the Bartender Lisencing Wizard to add the license on the client. With the silent installation parameter BLS = 10.211.13.226: 5160 this should be automatic?

    2. A silent installation under the Windows SYSTEM account with the same parameters installs only the Licensing service but not the specified Feature Bartender.

Anyone run into these silent installation problems? or have a solution?

The problem is that the MSI does install the most content/CustomActions under InstallUISequence, that part of the MSI will not be executed when you deploy the MSI. Tried to install with Parameter INSTALLLEVEL=4 there will be installed a lot more, but not everything, Services are for instance missing.

Conclusion, this MSI build is very very bad.
