Last successful print is duplicated

Hi Bartender Team, Good day! We are experiencing duplicate printings of labels whenever a printing error occurs inside Bartender. The behavior is like if there is an error during a multiple label printing process, the last successful print object is duplicated or reprinted. Upon researching on this, it seems that a certain printer feature needs to be disabled (e.g. Media Fault Recovery). Can you advise on how to implement this or if you have any suggestions to circumvent the mentioned glitch? Bartender version is 9.10 - I know this is old, but we are still in the process of migration. Thank you.

  That sounds like a setting in the printer is incorrect or else in the printer driver rather than BarTender and so I would suggest you check through those settings.

  Thanks, could you suggest as to what part of the printer settings do I need to do some alterations as I have done some research and googling but still to no avail.

  I am not sure. What printer are your using and if it is one I know I can have a look at the driver to see if I can see it?

  One of the printer drivers I'm using that has this issue is from Seagull which can be accessed and retrieved through this link - https://www.seagullscientific.com/downloads/printer-drivers/easycoder-pm4i-203-dpi-dp/

  ...I cant see one in the manual but there maybe a front panel setting that does this if not you will need to create a file and send the IPL command down to the printer

  Thanks a lot for your inputs. For the disablement of re-printing the last label on media error condition recovery, is it specific only for Intermec Printers? Also, how is this implemented - is this done on through Command Prompt?

  Some printers have similar functions but for some of the others I have seen have front panel options to disable it but I don t think the Intermec does and so you need to send the command code down.

  You may need to have a look at the IPL programming manual and work out what the full commands should be and then create a file with it in and you could then use the Send File to Printer option from the Printer Properties>Tools> Action drop down.
