Drag and Drop Columns from Excel to a Template S’abonner

Is it possible to drag and drop the columns I want to print from Excel out onto the print area in BT and create template that way?  I've also discovered that pulling in a numerical USPS barcode auto-corrects the number to scientific notation.

There is the insert Table option as ringed in the image below or else there is the main Database Connection Setup (marked with a cross) where you link the label to the database and then add on the fields to each label to print in the appropriate positioned.

Excel links to BarTender via the ODBC driver and this ignores whatever formatting you have set the fields to in Excel and looks at the data itself. If the starting records in a column contains only numbers then it will set this as a number field when the data is presented to Bartender. if the data starts with leading zeroes, then these will be stripped off. Also if records further down the column are contain text characters then these will just come through as blank fields. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent the ODBC driver from doing this. What you have to do is force the ODBC driver to not think the fields are numeric only and so if you add a record at the start of the spreadsheet with data containing a text character or characters then this does not happy. I tend to add "dummy" as the value of each column in the first record.
