How to add a QR code to an existing PDF?
Hello,
We are currently using Bartender 9.4 SR1 2760 (Automation Edition). We have some custom VB6 software that uses Bartender Active X automation libraries. It works extremely well for us and have never had any issues.
Now we'd like to do something new with the software. Part of what our software does is fills in user-fillable fields in pre-existing PDF files provided from a 3rd party. We are able to edit this PDF and add additional user-fillable fields as necessary. This also works very well and we do all of this in our custom VB6 software. We are currently using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
What we would like to do now is add a QR code to these PDFs for customer tracing/logistics tracking purposes. We are already currently printing QR codes on bartender labels that we print to a thermal printer. This has worked very well for many years. And we do all of this using the Bartender Automation Active X libraries. So we are very familiar with this process and how it works.
Is it possible for us to add a QR code to an existing PDF file using the Bartender Automation Active X libraries/functions/methods? If it's not directly possible I'm willing to take a work-around approach, such as exporting the QR code to an image and then inserting that image into the PDF. We are willing to make it work if it's possible.
If it is possible could anyone share some example code of how to achieve this result?
Thank you for your time!
