changing local user account pwd created during installation
Question, our company requires us to change the local user pwd for Bartender every so often.
We also have a license server which the app on the workstations is connected to.
if we change the local user $BarTender_Security$ pwd on the workstations and on the license server, this would not break the communication between them, right?
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Douglas,
Thank you for reaching us via the Community Forums!
Could you tell us what BarTender version are you running? User account functions may vary depending on the BarTender version.

Hi Doug!
Thank you for the information.
This being a local password, there shouldn't be any issues when communicating between the BarTender License Server and the workstations.
That being said, please take a minute to review our BarTender Supported Windows Versions article. As you can see, your current Windows version does not support BarTender 10.1. We would suggest updating your BarTender version, as unsupported environments might cause optimization, user experience, and other kinds of issues.
If you are interested in updating your BarTender version, you can reach your BarTender reseller or our BarTender Sales Department in order to discuss it. You can also update BarTender to a newer version in case you have an active Maintenance and Support Agreement with us.
Let us know if there is anything else we can do you for!0 -

Thank you for the info, l'll let my manager knows about the version.
Also, is there a way to find out the default pwd (installed by initial install of bartender) to this local account?
Thanks,
Doug
