Hello Peoples.

i have the below command line to print L10.dat file :

/AF="C:\Bartender\BarTender Labels\PalletLabelL10.btw" /PRN="Bullzip PDF Printer" /P /D="D:\MesBartender\L10.dat" /DD

I would like to change the file to print dynamically, let said DateTime_L10.dat file.

How can i do that ?

I tryed  *_L10.dat or ??????_L10.dat but is not working so which is the best way to do that ??

Normally BarTender would use the * as the wildcard character but I am not sure if that is possible in the Command Line printing as I believe the characters need to be literal (ie the name). It has been a while since I have used this method and so I could be wrong, however, but as you have already tried it....

Could you amend your printing process and use the creation of the data file as the trigger for the label production?

If that were possible then you could create a File Integration using Integration builder and wildcards maybe used in the Integration Builder configuration with regards to the trigger file name.

Such other variables as the printer to use and the label format could also be included as a field in the data content of the trigger file.

Hi Luca, thanks for reaching out!

The best way you can do this is by providing the condition to the file pattern:

Once you have this in place, the Integration will only detect files with this pattern. Please note, that does mean that if you wanted to pick up different files, you would have to create an additional Integration to do that for you.

Let us know if this works for you!

Hi

Not really sure what you are trying to accomplish. An option might be to use conditional execution based on variable. . Let’s say you trigger for *.dat and want to have a special treatment for *l10.dat files you could use %DetectedFileName% Contains l10.dat
