We are using Commander as a service, monitoring a folder where we drop a trigger file that contains printer name, label format name, print quantity and variable field data, e.g.

 

%BTW% /AF="C:\label.btw" /PRN="CAB300" /P /D="%Trigger File Name%" /DD /R=3 /C=1

%END%

Variable1|Variable2|Variable3|

 

This works great with labels with barcodes or text but we have some instances where a label needs to print with an image, or sometimes the same label needs to print without the image.

 

Is there a way to pass data via Commander to achieve this? This might be more of a label format question but I started here as Commander is an integral part of our setup.

  What is the trigger for when it prints or doesn't print?

   

  There a few ways to handle this.  You could make different templates within the same document and use the template selection functionality or you could set the picture to print conditionally based upon a data source or expression.
