    It is the Commander service you need to check, not the BarTender System service.  I suggest you follow the Commander trouble shooter: http://forums.seagullscientific.com/index.php?/topic/55-commander-troubleshooting/

    Hi Ian,

     

    Already tried all the method mentioned inside the PDF.Unable to see any Commander Service inside Windows Services.It seems like Commander Service is unable to start at all.Reinstall BarTender Suite won't help at all.

     

    Any other work around?

    I suggest you run a command line to install the Commander service if it isn't currently there.  It won't work without it.

     

    sc.exe create "Commander Service" binPath= "c:\Program Files\Seagull\BarTender Suite\cmdrsrv.exe"

     

    (Note: Be sure to retain the space after the “binPath= ” parameter.) 

     

    Of course on a x64 system the command line would be:

     

    sc.exe create "Commander Service" binPath= "c:\Program Files (x86)\Seagull\BarTender Suite\cmdrsrv.exe"

    Hi Ian,

     

    Try your method and the service finally appeared but unable to start.It just show Error 1053,so can I assume that's the Windows problem?
