Odbc To Iseries (As/400) In Bartender 2016 フォローする

After switching to Bartender 2016 we are no more able to connect to data on iSeries using ODBC-connection. For existing labels we get SQL syntax errors, e.g. "keyword BY not expected". The same label displays records without errors if opened in Bartender 10.0. Creating new connection to the database in Bartender 2016 let you choose the ODBC data source, then displays table names, but is unable to load columns. Clicking on "View data..." eventually causes Bartender crash.

I suggest you get in contact with tech-support: http://www.seagullscientific.com/support/technical-support/

If this is a bug then they are best place to help work around it or make sure it gets fixed for the upcoming R2 release.

Was this issue resolved or is there a workaround?

James: I don't know myself if there is a general issue, or whether this was a case specific issue.  I suggest you test this with the latest BarTender 2016 release (R4), which you can download from the below link:

If there is still a problem then contact technical support to work through it.
