Closing Print Preview フォローする

Closing print preview takes a very long time to time out. Is there some way I can tell Bartender to cancel print preview faster? It's super irritating. Takes at least 25 seconds to close print preview.

I no longer have access to 2016 but the only time I can remember having an issue with slow response times was where a lot of data was involved and a low amount of RAM in the PC in question (it was an A4 size chemical drum label with multiple layers and graphics on the label) . It maybe worth reaching out to you regional Tech Support office to see it they can help diagnose the performance issue but you may want to first think about upgrading the PC in question to 2016 R9 that was released recently and see if that resolves the closing issue.

Hi Scott, thanks for your post and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this performance issue! As Pete mentioned in his previous post when it comes to performance-related problems, it's always best to open up a ticket with our support team and if you can, provide the label file!

Truthfully, there are many variables to consider, including how much data your processing before preview, where the data comes from, and of course, if your machine has enough resources to perform faster.

You can open a new case here.

Perhaps it has something to do with the printers we have installed. The printers are network printers, they are not local. It seems anytime the printer is needed, (for example during print preview) by Bartender it hangs for a while.

The PC itself is new Windows 10 i7 with 16GB of ram, so it's not the PC that's the problem is Bartender networking problems.

I even tested it on a blank document. Nothing on it. Tried to open print preview and it worked fast. Then I went to switch the printer. This screen:

And bartender started having all kind so of lag issues. I clicked close on the above print dialog box and it took 15 or so seconds.

Next I did a print preview the preview came up fast. I then closed the print preview and that took 20 seconds!! That's with absolutely nothing on the label!

Does Bartender keep reaching out to the network to query the printer drivers when I close print preview? Why?

Not sure on your last question but if you need to look at a preview of the label at print time have you tried adding an image > Preview of Template on to a Data Entry form for your label?

With this the operator can see an image of what is going to be printed after any database selections have been made and will also change if you have any prompted/data entry fields set in the label.
