Problem since upgrading to Office 2016 关注

Hi,

We have just upgraded to Office 2016 32 bit and now our DB connection has stopped working.  We get the error:-

BarTender: Error Message #3323

The file \\Edi\gs1\DATA.xlsx is not a supported file type

We are using BT 2016 R2, v11.0.2.3056

There is a similar post here:

The last post says "installing the latest version of MDAC fixed it for me".  Unfortunately I have no idea what that means.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

OK, I think the first message above was misleading.  Perhaps my colleague was doing something weird.

Now when I try to connect to my database which is an .xlsx file created in Office 2016 I receive the following message:

The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine error.

How do I resolve this please?

OK, I've just searched and found the solution here:
