Variable data from visionsystem combined with data base fields problem
We are using a vision system to send variable data to bartender using named data source and we would like to combine this data with data base fields. When we connect a database to the template all the named data sources has to be connected to the database and we loose communication between the vision system and the template data sources. Anybody have any idea what we are doing wrong?

At what point is the data from the vision system being passed to the label template and in what format? Is it being used a a look up value for the database?

The label data is sent from the vision system when we need to print a label. Vision system uses the data sources as a database would do. We use one value to filter the database to be able to read an entire row and populate static data to the label and this works fine. The problem is then that we can't use dynamic data from the vision system through the data sources as all data sources has to be connected to the database also.

It sounds like you would need a separate label for this then, one that is linked to the database and another that is not

Okay, and do you know if there is a way to merge the labels to only print one label with all the information from both labels?

Other than just adding the fields from one label onto the other then no

Alright, thank you for the insite. We will continue to investigate and if see how we will get the data from the same place.
