Error With Excel 2013

Hello - we have been printing labels linked to an Excel spreadsheet from a workstation with Excel 2007 with no problems.

 

We recently added another workstation that has Excel 2013 on it.  When we try to print the same label on this workstation we get error message #66 - class not registered as well as error 0x800A0E7A.

 

Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

  Install Access database engine 32 bit version (BarTender uses 32 bit OLEDB driver).

  Install AccessDatabaseEngine 32bit (not x64) version.

   

  Access 2010 database engine can be downloaded from here.

  I installed Access Database Engine, but I am still getting the same error messages.  Is there something else that I have to do after I install it?

  Mmm. first workaround is save the file as .xls (excel 2003 format) by Excel, then in Btw document, remove the database connection and connect again to the xls file.

   

  Also, create a very simple format with simple xlsx file to see the issue is document / database specific, or generally you cannot connect to xlsx at all.

  Thanks for the reply - we have fixed the problem.

   

  Originally I tried your suggestion above, but on the workstation with Excel 2007, and had no luck.

   

  Then I went onto the workstation with Excel 2013 and tried it and it worked.  We can even keep the existing .xlsx format.

  I am getting this issue, the work around of saving it as an xls file is not an option one because we need the record auto updates on the screen so we can see what we are working with and two because it works on one PC in the office and not another and the database is on a central location. Have loaded the Database Engine and still nothing, both units are using Excel 2013 as well. Any other ideas?

  If you have installed 64bit office, 32 bit version of Office 2010 engine may not properly installed.

  You could try Office2007 database engine instead - though that's may not supported in new environment such as Office 2013 or windows 8.
