Two Databases Join?
We have two databases with each different structure.
The first database contains address information (company, address, etc) , the second database contains products.
what i would like is to use both databases in bartender but i need somehow to join them. Of course not a problem, but these two databases do not contain the same columns. How can i join two databases when the actual column names differ in types of data?
We are using bartender automation latest version.
you can't join databases if their isn't a common column, it doesn't need to be the exact same name in each table, just the same piece of data.0
Understandable but how would you use then a label which has product information from database 1 and address information from database 2? Bartender forces me to join those databases but they are completely different in data.0
i got this one solved by using vb scripting from some other example on the forum. Thanks!0
Tom V, can you point me to that example? I'm having a similar problem, needing to use a list of month codes and a separate list of year codes.
Thank you very much!
Sent you a PM with more details.
I have the same problem, that I have different databases without common columns. How can I avoid the "necessary" joins?
You need to have a common column in your database. The only way to make it work when your database has no common column is by using vb scripting to refer to your database OR add a common column in your current databases. Good luck.0
I have similar problem. I need to have two different database (one special date form, second counter). There is no connection between databases but still when I added both databases, Bartender need to set some connection and I don´t how to set up it.
And still Bartender writes
Could you help please?0
