Permission To Open The Excel File
Hi there.I'm quite new to Bartender.
I am using Bartender to get the information from the Microsoft Excel database and helping me printing the labels. When i add it(i mean the Excel file) in database connection setup, the connection testing is ok but it prompts a message that saying Bartender does not have permission to open the file: C:\.....xls .Whenever i tried to print by select record in it,it prompts me that message too.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Hi,
If you open the Excel file by MS Excel(or any other application), close the Excel(or the other application) then try again.
If that doesn't work, try creating a simple test format with simple excel sheet, following this video tutorial.0 -
Thanks for the response.
I have already make sure that i didn't using MS Excel or any application to open the file while i open it with bartender.
But,it still didn't work.
Creating a new simple test for excel is working though but i need to use that previously Excel file as the database.
Could it possibly be caused by the macro in the Excel file that preventing me to read from it? Or i need an administrator privileges on a pc only can read from it? Currently,i am using the user account.I hope i can get the reason of it.
Thanks.0 -
Can you copy and paste your data from the Excel file you need to a fresh one? Also, save it as .xls rather than .xlsx if you can. 0 -
