Data Matrix codes not generates correctly

Hi, support team

I am using Excel file as a sourse of database, for creating labels with Data Matrix codes. And have issues with it... Some codes not generates properly (BarTender adds additional symbols for code and as a result form and structure of the code is wrong).

Note: For understanding i am attaching screenshoot of the codes. 3rd of which is generates not correctly, with "x001D" ending that shouldn`t be acorging to Excel.

You can even tell that code is incorrect by its size compare to first one.

If i am trying to generate this "wrong" code at free generator website, everything is ok.

I am using BarTender 2021

Could you please help me to resolve this issue?

  Have you checked there are no non printable characters in your data in the database? 

  If I type in the data then it encodes correctly:

  

  (I set the code with two substings, the first kept the first 15 characters only allowing BarTender to calculate the check digit whilst the 2nd discarded the first 16 characters)

  Thanks for your advice, it might be useful in the future, will keep it in mind.

  Meanwhile I managed to resolve this issue on a simpler way by using function "find and replace" in database settings. For "finding" I just set "_x001D_" (probably some an error code) and for "replace" the right symbols («GS») that present in all corretly generated codes. 

  After this intervention, all codes are generated well.
