Zebra ZM400 same server, same driver, 1 label offset, another ok
Hi everyone,
I have 8 x Zebra ZM400 203dpi printers. We are using Bartender Automation 2021, and Seagull printer drivers on a dedicated server.
I have a problem where1 printer in one remote location does a strange thing. It prints 5 different label templates all ok- left and top offset and perfect. But for one particular label it offsets it to the left by about 12-15mm, cutting off text and barcodes and making it unusable.
All other 7 labels printers use the same driver, same templates and do not have any problems printing. There are no offset issues.
I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction, as I don't know what else to check. All printers are the same, the drivers are all the same and the labels are generated from the same integrations from the same data sources.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Craig,
Not sure if you have resolved this, but it does sound an odd one.
Probably the way to go is to try and determine where the fault actually occurs. If you can temporarily set one of the working printers and the defective device to Print to File and then generate a label file from each of these. You could then switch off the print to file and send both files down to
- The defective printer to see if the printing error still occurs with both of these or just one.
- After than you could then send both files to the working printer and see if the fault materialises or not.
For 1 if both labels are in error whilst for 2 they are not then that would suggest an issue on the printer itself and so you may need to look at the settings of that. However, if the fault occurs with 2 then that would suggest there is an issue with what is being sent to the printer from the driver/BarTender. For the latter you may want to check things like the File>Print>Performance settings and make sure these match.
