Can we generate multiple pdfs from bartender simultaneously.
Hi Community,
I would like to use bartender to generate multiple pdfs simultaneously.
Ex - I have a batch of 10000 records. I want to create 10 pdfs of 1000 records each. And in order to optimize pdf generation I would like to generate them in parallel.
How can we do this?

Hello Rohit,
Thank you for reaching us with your query via our Community Forums.
Unfortunately, the behavior you're experiencing when using our built-in BarTender PDF printer to print tens of thousands of labels, cannot be adjusted in the manner you are trying. Our PDF printer outputs very high-quality PDF images, which can be somewhat cost-efficient.
However, a feature request to provide these options has been submitted to our Development team and is currently under consideration.
If you want to optimize the process, I would suggest using Microsoft Print to PDF printer, as well as other 3rd-party PDF printers, and these can output 1,000 pages to a PDF file in a more compressed manner.
Finally, there might be ways of creating custom code for your needs; we have a Professional Services department that could provide you with a solution for this issue.
I hope this helps.0 -
Hello Xabier,
Thank you for your comment. I was able to generate required output using CLI parameter with Microsoft Print to PDF printer. However, unfortunately CLI doesn't support response. So I'm looking at other automation techniques using BTXML or ActiveX.
I would appreciate if you could help me with this error - "The PrintToFileLicense property must be set to a valid license prior to printing". What does "printLicense" in Format.PrintToFileLicense = printLicense mean?
I would like to do the following –
- Create multiple csv file with 1000 records each.
- Pass following details to Bartender to generate output:
- Csv path and Name
- BTW path.
- Printer Name.
- Output pdf path and Name.
Regards.
