Print non scanning prefixs
Is there a way to add a prefix to the barcode line that does not scan? For example, the barcode would read E1-12345 but the only portion that is the "barcode" is 12345. The E1 is a department identifier and used to differentiate our department inventory barcodes from the main inventory barcodes.
My initial thought would be to simply add a text box with "E1-" that would sit in front of the barcode number but is there a better way?

The simplest way would be to use the Character Template option accessible from the Human Readable tab of the barcode.
Any letters and numbers you type in here will show in the Human Readable but are not encoded in the barcode and you can also do things like add brackets, spaces and dashes etc. such as in the image below where the barcode encodes 12345678 and the HELLO ( - ) are just in the readable string below.
