'Smudged' or unreadable Barcodes and QR codes on printed labels.
I use BarTender 2023-1 with a 4BARCODE 4B 2054L printer using 4Barcode TSPL Driver.
We use this to print labels from Startrack, Aramex and Australia Post eParcel with no problems, in face, perfect every time.
But whenever I try to print a label from MyPost Business (another type of sending for Australia Post) the barcodes and QR codes on the labels are all merged together like they are smudged from ink run. The text on these labels is fine, it is just the barcode3s and QR codes that is an issue.
Note that when I view these labels on a screen (I send them to .pdf to check before sending to printer), the barcodes and QR codes are well separated and easily readable, it is only in the actual printing.
Within MyPost Business, the only settings that are available are to set page size so there is nothing there that helps.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hello Chris,
Thank you for reaching us via our Community Forums.
This could be a driver issue. We would recommend trying to use our Drivers by Seagull™ printer drivers for your printer instead. You can find them in the following link.
Also, how are you printing these labels? Directly through BarTender Designer? Is it an integration? Or through other methods?
Thank you in advance.0 -
Hi Xabier, Thanks for the tips.
1. I've downloaded the Driver as per your link and it seems to be printing better. I will only know when I take it to the post office this afternoon and see if it will scan. So, I'll come back to you on that one.
2. How do I print the labels? In my ignorance, I'm not really sure how to answer this one so I will describe my process.
From within the Australia Post app we simply press 'print' labels, label then shows up on Adobe Acrobat Reader as a pdf, we set printer to the 4BARCODE, check properties are correct size, press Print and, as if by magic, a label appears from within the printer ( :)
I've tried to find BarTender Designer on my files but as far as I can tell all of have of Seagulls is the printer driver. I hope this answers your question.
Thanks again.
Chris

Thank you for the information, Chris. I see, it seems the BarTender process is remote then.
Glad to hear it seems to be printing better, and yes, please do come back to us if it turns out this is not it. :)0
