check if xml printernamefield is empty
Hi,
I'm looking into using Bartender for automatic labelprinting and I've a question about using a data source field that contains the name of the printer.
I have made label template in Bartender designer. and want to use Bartender integration for automatic printing when a xml file is dropped in a specific folder.
For the data I am using an xml file as source, and the field that contains the name of the printer is sometimes empty. In that case Bartender should set the printer to a default name.
I can not figure out how to build in a condition that checks if that field is empty or that it is filled. or if this is even possible.
I tried to find the answer in the knowledge base and this community forum, but cannot find an answer to my problem.

I am not 100% sure but I do not think that is possible. If you configure the system to tell it that the printer name will be field X for example then that is where it look for the printer name and so if that is blank it wont work.
Could you instead create 2 different xml triggers, with an integration for each, one that is looking for the printer name in the string and the other that uses the default printer in the label file?
