Printers SATO CL4NX
problem: we recently moved a client to our cloud service. After the migration they reported that when printing orders out that no matter how many labels were printed from the first row of data all data was printed on the label. But any other row after that the embedded data, in the example case are text and images would not show up. But all the database pulled information would show up on the labels.
For testing we have been printing 1 label per line item, 3 line items and the first label comes out fine and the second and third are missing the embedded data.
The Labels were created with bartender 2016 originally.
The fonts that are not showing up are times new roman.
The images are embedded in the label so not pulled from other source.
Here is the full printing process. Customer opens an order in our software sets how many labels to print, selects a printer, and a label and hits print.
That generates a text file that a bartender integration looks for, and sends it to a printer. the database connected to the label is just a text file file as well. We use ^ to denote different fields.
This has works on about 100 clients just fine before and on the machine they are printing there are at least 5 clients that use the same bartender and automation.
Using the bartender logging we are seeing the data on each label before its sent the printer so it appears to be a printer issue but it seems odd that times new roman and embedded images would get dropped after the next line item.
We also are using the latest version of drivers from Seagull for the SATO printers.
Things we are going to try.
Creating net new labels with the same fonts.
Creating net new labels using SATO fonts.
Restarting the printer.
calibrating the printer.
Factory resetting the printer.
We have not tested these yet but I'll report back if those worked.
