restrict a record selector on your form to one entry

Hi All,

I am hoping to find a way to change the settings so that only one record from database selection can be selected for printing at any one time? Currently we can select as many records as we like and this has led to some errors. Is this feature available? 

I am running Bartender 2016 R7

  Welcome to the BarTender Community!
  
  There are several methods you can use to select a single record at print time:

  • Using a dynamic filter (Video - 5:36)
  • Using a static filter (Video - 2:47)
  • Combine a Query Prompt and a Record Picker.
  • Data entry forms: Designing a data entry form (Video - 5:51)
  • Configuring the record picker (Video - 6:27)

   
  The above articles can get you started.  If you are looking for something simple we would recommend the filter option.  If you need something more robust, the record picker on the data entry form should be perfect.

  Hi Xabier,

  Thank you for the quick response. We already have a record picker set up and a data entry form set up. My query is can you set it up so only 1 item from the record picker can be selected at any one time?

  Hello again David,
  
  Sure! If you are using the record picker, just right-click on the record picker, select the properties menu, and once there navigate to the "Record Picker" row. Then click on "Single" for the "Selection Mode" option:
