End Of Job Template Not Picking Up Serialized Number
I have a serialized label that is supposed to print out on the trailer (End of Job Template). If I print zero copies of the Primary template (which I do in some cases), only the prefix will print out on the label, without any serial number, even though I can see the serial number on the label template. Any ideas on what may be causing this? This label happens to be a pallet label. We often print box labels first, but in some cases the items fit in a cradle, so no box labels are necessary and the only label needed is a pallet label.

Hello,
Can you attach the template that you are using for this? I tried it here and it seemed to work fine, but there may be something different about how you have your template setup.
Thanks0 -

Attached is the file. It may be hard to check out without including a selfcontained database, however. Unfortunately it doesn't ALWAYS happen.0 -

Could you explain in further detail how are you specifying "Zero copies" of the Primary Template? I can only see you specifying the number of copies per serial number (which depends on one of the fields of the database).
Note that BarTender won't allow a setting for the number of copies per serial numbers less than 1. If working through automation (having BarTender run as a service) no label would be printed at all.
Is it your intention to sometimes not print the "Primary Template" but keep printing the "End of Job Template"? If that is the case you should use a "Template Selector" to choose avoid printing the Primary Template when some circumstances are met.
In any case please explain your issue in further detail.0 -

Hi Fernando,
We no longer have the same requirement. In this case we are always going to print 1 copy and only 1 copy. That being the case, everything works out fine. Thanks for your response. -Craig0
