Labels With Marks Setting With Gk420D 追蹤

Using: Seagull Windows Driver version 7.3.3 & version 7.3.5, using the GK420D - EPL driver. Printers are both Zebra GK420D, one brand new, one several months old. Using 2.20"x0.5" labels with marks on the back of the roll.

I am able to calibrate the printer no problem, it advances exactly one label when pressing the feed button as expected. I am also able to print a single label no problem.

In the Printing Preferences of the Seagull Driver I select "Labels with Marks" and set my Mark Height and Mark Offset fields. I then hit Apply and OK. When I return to the Printing Preferences section, it has reverted my settings to "Labels with Gaps" and the Mark Offset value is back to 0. The printer then has trouble finding the gaps one the second print after each calibration (as would be expected when using marked labels with the gaps setting).

If I install the Seagull Driver and point it to an unused Printer Port, I am able to change the setting and it stays, but as soon as I change the Port to the correct Printer Port (USB in this case), the next time I go into Preferences the setting has reverted again to "Labels with Gaps."

It doesn't matter what program I print from, the fundamental problem is it's treating marked labels as gap labels, and behaves the same no matter what other things I try. This has been attempted from two seperate computers with two seperate GK420D printers, both of which work fine with the same driver and a different size label on a non-marked roll.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What Windows version and service pack is in use?

Where exactly are you setting the printing preferences? Is this under the "General" tab of the printer properties?

I've done a test here on a Windows 7 machine with a domain account with local admin rights and I'm not able to reproduce this issue. This might be some sort of permission issue. Do you've the same problem when you try setting other settings such as print speed or darkness?

Windows XP Pro SP 3 and Windows 7 Pro SP1

This is under the Stock tab of the Printing Preferences screen.

Both computers it was tried on the settings were changed by a local Administrator and they were not part of a domain. There are no problems changing any other settings besides this one that I've tried. However, as I said, it works fine if I change the settings with the Printer Port set to an unused Port; the problem only exists when there is an actual printer attached to the port specified in the settings. I presume there is some sort of communication with the printer within the driver that undose that settings change.

Still under the printer preferences dialog, choose the "Tools" tab and now click "Driver Options..." button. Choose the "Network Settings" tab and let me know if "Bidirectional Communication" is enabled? Does it change anything if you toggle this setting?

Furthermore, under the "Advanced" tab under printer preferences make sure that the "Enable advanced printing features" settings is disabled.

That did it.

"Enable advanced printing features" was already off, but "Bidirectional Communication" was on. Once I turned it off, the drivers now keep the "Labels with Marks" setting, and everything is printing perfectly.

Thanks so much for all your help.
