Blurred Printing When Calling From A File
We have recently upgraded to Bartender 10.0 SR1 (build 2845) and a new Epson printer for some colour barcode labels
We have some shortcuts on the desktop using the /F /P /X options, which allow the user to go straight to the required label. However if we use these shortcuts, the first label always blurs part of the label. This blurring can either be the text or an image, it does not seem to happen in same place every time.
If we start Bartender first then open the label template and then go through the form manually, these all print perfectly.
Therefore it doesnt appear to be an issue with the printer or the label template, it appears to be something specific when using the shortcut.
Can anyone provide any insight as to why it is doing this and how we get around it?

Hello Simon,
1. Could you post exactly the code you're using on your short cuts?
2. Are you using a Data Entry Form on your BarTender document to print?
3. Is the blurring occurring in individual objects on your label or on sections of the actual label covering several objects?
4. What printer exact printer model are you working with?

Hi Fernando, thanks for replying.
1. The shortcut is: "C:\Program Files\Seagull\BarTender Suite\bartend.exe" /F="c:\barcodes\800 series label\800-Label-EP.btw" /P /X - we have tried with and without the /F option.
2. Yes we do use a Data entry form for the labels.
3. The blurring is on individual objects not areas, so sometimes an image or a text area but random, there is no pattern at all.
4. Epson TM C3400
thanks

I'll update you, as we have not had a further reply.
We still do not have a definitive answer to the difference between running from a shortcut with a link to a template and directly opening the template from the Bartender application.
However we have added additional memory to the workstation and this seems to making a difference at the moment.0 -
For this issue we would probably need to test it ourselves, for that I'm afraid that we would need you to send us your label format. It probably would be better if you send them instead of through the forum by email to our technical support office. Remember to send a link to this forum issue so we know what the issue is about.
You'll find our tech support emails on the following webpage (send it to your closes office):
http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/technical-support.aspx
We would also need you to send us your software's support number (you can find it on your "Help>About..." dialog) when you send the email (don't send it through here).0
