Wrong Number Of Labels Printing
Hello,
We have been selling BarTender for years and have run into a new issue never encountered before. We are working with a customer and pulling order data from a database. Each order may have different products, and each product may have multiple copies. Right now, the system is creating a new label for each unique product, and using the QTY field from the database, it is setup to make copies for a unique product that may have multiples.
All is working 100% in preview. But when I actually print the labels, it is only printing one label for each product. (i.e. no copies for the products that have multiples.) When printing, it shows Printing......
#1
#2-#3 (this product has 2 copies)
#4
In the print spooler it only shows only three pages. But again, the preview works fine - see attached. (Red number is value of the QTY field.)
Any ideas??
-Brian

Ian,
Thanks for the information. I have checked/read both threads completely, and have had no change in the output of the labels. I am still not getting the copies to print. I am using 10.0 SR4, build 2868 on Windows 7 Pro, printing to an Epson C3500.
Just to be clear, I tired changing the setting on the Admin menu, Advanced Printer and Driver Setup (specifically for the Epson C-3500), and tried checking (default) and unchecking the "Use alternate method to control data sourced copies. There was no change. I also tried adding the printer ("EPSON TM-C3500") to the btwprn.ini file under the "[Copy Incapable Printers]".
What am I missing? What should I try next?
Thanks,
-Brian

Ian,
Thanks, I have. Just FYI for the thread, the first suggestion was the same as the thread. And it did't work (obvious). The second suggestion was to go to the File --> Page Setup... --> Media Handling. Then select the Action --> Page Break and then Occurrence --> At End of Print Job. This worked.
The explanation was:
----
This type of fix usually helps with printers that we do not make a printer driver for. My understanding is it doesn't know where the end is located, and forcing it at the end of the job helps identify it. Other than that however, I do not have an official response from my developers on it.
In our help file, this is what it explains:
- Page Break: No additional labels are printed on the current page, and any subsequent labels are printed on a new page. If the format has only one label per page no action is taken.
----
This setting does not seem to stick if you change any printer setting in the driver (you have to reset it as above) but it does make the system work properly.
Thanks BarTender support and to you too Ian.

Sweet, thanks for coming back and posting the solution Brian, was having the same problem with the number of labels being printed. Seems to work now though. Thanks again.
